You should make these cookies the day before the Bridal shower as they will only keep for a few days. You will need the following ingredients to make your fantastic Bridal Shower Cookie Favors: - 4½ oz plain flour
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ oz soft butter
- 2 oz soft brown sugar
- 2 oz caster sugar
- 6 oz chocolate chips / chopped pecans / Oatmeal etc
Bridal Shower Cookie Favors! - Steps to Follow Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4. Grease two baking trays. Sieve the flour into a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar, vanilla extract, bicarbonate of soda and butter. Blend until ingredients are completely mixed together. Add the egg and your chosen cookie filling e.g. Chocolate Chips. Blend together until all ingredients are completely mixed together. Using a spoon, place small lumps of cookie dough (about the size of a golf ball) onto the baking tray, you should have ten cookies on each baking tray. Don't attempt to flatten out or shape cookies! Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Leave to stand for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack. Once cool you can cover each cookie in tissue paper and wrap in cellophane. Tie each wrapped cookie with curling ribbon and place in your Bridal shower favor basket ready for your guests to enjoy.
